Liverpool finished seventh in the league last year but did enjoy a run to the semi-finals of the Adobe Women's FA Cup, their first appearance at that stage of the competition for eight years.
The club was part of women's footballing history in the summer when they sold forward Olivia Smith to Arsenal for £1 million, the first time a women's player had been sold for a seven-figure amount.
The Reds are two-time WSL champions, winning back-to-back in 2013 and 2014.
Manager: Gareth Taylor
Former Manchester City head coach Gareth Taylor joins Liverpool after five years at the Citizens.
Under Taylor, City won the 2020/21 FA Cup and 21/22 League Cup, and narrowly missed out on the 2023/24 WSL title after Chelsea passed them on the final day, ultimately winning the league on goal difference.
City and Taylor parted ways in March, just five days before the League Cup final, and the 52-year-old now joins Liverpool, hoping to help them improve on their seventh-place finish last campaign.
