The winners of the Barclays Women’s Super League 2 awards for November have now been confirmed.

Firstly, Portsmouth’s Megan Hornby has been named as Player of the Month after emerging victorious in the combined public and panel vote.

The striker was in unstoppable form in November, finding herself involved in all of Pompey’s efforts in a 3-2 thriller against Sunderland – boasting two goals and an assist, including a 98th minute winner to complete their comeback, before also finding the net in a 5-2 reverse to Birmingham City.

Newcastle United’s Jordan Nobbs, Bristol City’s Maria Farrugia and Charlton Athletic’s Charlotte Newsham were also shortlisted.

Sunderland’s Mary Corbyn meanwhile has earned the Goal of the Month accolade for her looping effort from outside the area against Bristol City.

The Black Cats midfielder’s strike topped the voting polls, seeing off the challenge of Birmingham’s Chelsea Cornet (v Portsmouth), Crystal Palace’s Kirsty Howat (v Sheffield United), Charlton’s Jodie Hutton (v Southampton), Bristol City’s Lexi Lloyd-Smith (v Sunderland) and Player of the Month winner Hornby (v Birmingham City).

Finally, the League Managers’ Association have announced that Charlton Athletic boss Karen Hills had been voted Barclays WSL2 Manager of the Month for November.

The Addicks sit four points clear at the top of the table following the penultimate month of the calendar year, having taken maximum points from their three league outings against Birmingham City (1-0), Southampton (2-1) and Bristol City (2-0)
