After being at Liverpool since 2016, Heather Carroll recently celebrated a decade at the club. She is now the longest-serving staff member with the women’s side.

Her professionalism, reliability and positivity has provided a friendly face within the club and she is known to always be on hand during high-pressure situations. She is also seen as the “go-to” person and a key contributor to the supportive culture, strong relationships and professional standards at Liverpool.

Carroll plays a major role in the running of matchdays, but particularly with player and staff operations behind the scenes, consistently going above and beyond to support club initiatives and solve problems.

She joined Liverpool in 2016 as a Women’s team intern, a role in which she was in for two years and eleven months. Then, in February 2019, she was promoted to Operations Assistant, before being promoted again to First Team Operations Executive in March 2021.

Her current role, which is the First Team Operations Manager, is one she has been in since July 2023.

When working behind the scenes at a football club, it’s important to have those special people working and in your corner, and this is something Carroll has been providing for the best part of a decade.

Before joining the club, she was a fan of the team and created her own blog which she ran between 2013 and 2018, sharing updates and match reports. She also featured on This is Anfield and The Anfield Wrap before joining the Reds.
