After championing Brighton & Hove Albion for decades, Jo Davis is deservedly taking home the title of Fan of the Year.

Davis is a home and away season ticket holder and attends every home and away game for the Women’s and Men’s side.

In the last few years she joined the Fan Advisory Board to provoke change and to be part of the conversation to make things happen.

When she joined the FAB originally, she started as the BWSL representative. Her original mission statement shared her intent to ensure the Broadfield Stadium is a fortress for the women’s side as well as her aims to improve the overall fan experience.

Due to her ability and determination, she began taking more responsibility within the group, and in 2025, became vice chair, before becoming the Chair in 2026.

While on the FAB she has introduced working parties to focus on specific areas such as match day experiences, community, WSL and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. She recently described the opportunity to be on this panel as an honour and a privilege.

By supporting away travel provision, creating away-fan guides, supporting fan wellbeing work with Samaritans, she is improving accessibility and visibility through practical action.

As well as that, she is also an ambassador for the Proud Seagulls, the Official LGBTQI+ Supporters group for the Albion.

Recently, the South Coast side announced their plans to be the first side in Europe to create a women’s football purpose built stadium. During this process, Davis has used media opportunities to advocate for the club's commitment to a dedicated women’s stadium.

After watching her first Albion game in the 70s at the Goldstone, she became hooked and has never looked back. In the 90s, she joined as a player, where she played in goal.

This year was Davis’ second year being nominated for this prestigious award, and her first time winning.
