Aimee Claypole scored a dramatic 96th-minute equaliser on her return from injury to rescue a point for Nottingham Forest Women against Sunderland.
In a tightly contested midweek fixture, the hosts took the lead in the first half through a Katie Kitching free-kick. Forest pushed for an equaliser in the second half, seeing an effort hit the crossbar and a penalty from Joy Omewa saved by Demi Lambourne. Deep into stoppage time, a second penalty was awarded to the visitors; though Claypole’s initial strike was parried, she converted the rebound to ensure the points were shared.
