In the last three seasons, Charlton have finished third, second and fourth, coming within touching distance of a place in the WSL for the first time. In fact, promotion would mark a berth in the topflight for the first time since 2008.
Karen Hills is in charge of the Addicks, and she last managed in the topflight in 2020 when she was at the helm of Spurs.
Manager: Karen Hills
Karen Hills was part of the Charlton team who lifted the Adobe Women’s FA Cup in 2005 and now leads them from the dugout.
Hills has been in position since March 2021, and guided the side to a fifth-placed finish in her first season at the helm – also the club’s first year as a fully professional outfit.
Charlton progressed further in 2022/23, finishing fourth in the Barclays Women’s Championship table, with forward Melissa Johnson, who has left the club over summer, collecting the Golden Boot award.
With respective finishes of second and third over the past two campaigns, Hills has established the Addicks as firm promotion contenders and she will be instrumental to the team’s aim to bring BWSL football to The Valley.
