Everton vs Manchester United
Barclays WSL | 12.45pm, Goodison Park
The two sides arrive in contrasting form. Everton have lost three of their last five league games, while Manchester United are unbeaten in theirs.
Scott Phelan's side were beaten 3-2 by Aston Villa at Goodison Park last weekend. They scored twice late on to set up a big finish, but the comeback never quite came, and it was a second straight league defeat. Everton still have one of the league's better defences, with nine goals conceded, but seven of those have come in their last three games.
United, meanwhile, rescued a point in the Manchester derby thanks to Elisabeth Terland's 89th-minute equaliser, her second league goal of the season. Eva Olid's side went winless in their first three games, but are now unbeaten in four. A fifth would be their best Barclays WSL run since they went nine unbeaten between December 2025 and March.
Both sides won in the Subway Players Cup on Wednesday, Everton beating Sheffield United 2-1 and United beating Burnley 3-0 at home. History is firmly with the visitors: United have never lost to Everton in any competition. A first win over United would give Everton's season a lift, while three points for the visitors would take them closer to the top three.
