Five Barclays WSL players feature in EA SPORTS FC 26 Team of the Year

In football’s most democratic awards, fans have been voting on the players who will make up the women’s EA SPORTS FC 26 Team of the Year (TOTY).

Five players from two clubs feature, making the Barclays Women’s Super League the most represented women’s league in TOTY.

This year, EA SPORTS FC expanded its Team of the Year awards, asking fans who they believe are the best players across EA SPORTS FC 26 and introduced a brand- new award for the Captain, which was created to recognise players who have been truly transcendent across the calendar year.

Barclays WSL Champions Chelsea have two representatives, Millie Bright and Lucy Bronze, with Bronze chosen as the first ever captain of the women’s TOTY XI.

As winners of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, Arsenal have three players in the TOTY XI with Women’s Professional Game Player of the Year Mariona Caldentey featuring alongside defender Leah Williamson and Alessia Russo.
