Chloe Kelly's guide to EA SPORTS FC™ 27's new social world

Chloe Kelly is one of the mentors welcoming players into The Grounds, the biggest change in EA SPORTS FC™ 27 and the most social way the game has ever been played.

Think of it as a football playground. Up to 100 players share the same world at once, built around a central Terrace with three districts running off it, each one shaped by a different football culture. You can meet up with friends, get a small-sided match going, join a kickabout in the park or just see where the afternoon takes you.

A world that keeps changing

The three districts aren't a backdrop. Each has its own social spaces, activities, Clubs and stadium competition, so there's a different way to play depending on where you end up. And it won't look the same in six months. New seasons, campaigns and live updates will change the atmosphere, the activities and the rewards as the year goes on.

Clubs sit at the centre of all of it. Whether you're building something with mates or dropping in on your own, progressing your Club is the thread running through everything.

Kelly on grassroots

Each mentor in The Grounds has their own specialist area, and Kelly's draws on grassroots football in England: the kickabouts, the creativity, the freedom of playing with your friends because you want to, not because anyone told you to. If you started out on a park pitch or in a cage, that's the corner of The Grounds she's pointing you towards.

The Grounds is available on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch™ 2.
