Bunny Shaw: is the £12.5m price tag worth it?
After a winning season at Manchester City, Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw arrives to the Fantasy league with a premium £12.5 million price tag, the most expensive player in Fantasy (and one of the most expensive picks in the game's history). The striker topped last season's stats with 21 goals and four assists in 22 matches, making her one of the most sought-after names for this season's fantasy managers.
But that price comes with a trade-off: build your squad around Shaw, and you're left with £87.5 million to fill the remaining 14 places.
Consistency is key
Shaw's numbers aren't a one-off. Her relentless form saw her named the Barclays BWSL Player of the Season, the Football Writers' Association (FWA) Women's Footballer of the Year, as well as picking up Manchester City's own Etihad Player of the Season award. She also claimed a record third successive WSL Golden Boot in 2025-26, exactly the kind of individual honour that should translate into fantasy bonus points.
The season wasn't just about the silverware, either. In December, Shaw became the first player in Manchester City's history, men's or women's, to reach 100 goals for the club, doing so in a 6-1 win over Aston Villa in which she scored four.
Her four assists also pushed her BWSL goal contributions past a century, making her only the sixth player in the competition's history to hit that mark.
Flight risk eliminated
Transfer uncertainty is usually one of the biggest risks attached to a premium pick, but Shaw has removed that variable entirely. Her new record-breaking four-year contract ties her to City until 2030. No summer exit, no settling-in period at a new club: just a proven goalscorer locked into the same system that's already working for her.

Shaw is also low-risk in a more literal sense: she picked up no yellow or red cards last season, meaning no unexpected point deductions from suspensions or bookings.
Her end to the campaign only reinforced her case. Even with the title already secured, Shaw scored twice against West Ham in City's final match, part of a run of 6 goals in their last 5 games. Her 51 shots on target from 118 attempts last season underline the accuracy behind the goal tally, not just the volume.
