Following a public vote, the winners of the first month of the 2026/27 season are as follows.
Manchester United’s Phallon Tullis-Joyce has come out on top in this month’s voting for the Barclays WSL British Gas September Save of the Month, thanks to her stunning launch and fingertip over the bar to deny Arsenal the lead at a crucial juncture.
The USA international kept her eyes firmly trained on the ball until the very last second, producing a superb reaction save to deny Stina Blackstenius and keep Manchester United in the game.
Saves by Liverpool’s Khiara Keating (v Manchester City), Aston Villa’s Akane Okuma (v Chelsea) and Arsenal’s Misa Rodriguez (v Brighton Albion) were also in contention.
In the Barclays WSL2, Watford goalkeeper Safia Middleton-Patel has been named the British Gas September Save of the Month winner for her outstanding stop in the Hornets’ fixture against Bristol City.
Middleton-Patel topped the voting polls, with her seeing off the challenge of efforts by Durham’s Catriona Sheppard (v Southampton), Ispwich’s Lysianna Proulx (v Southampton), and Southampton’s Grace Moloney (v Durham).
