Khadija Shaw finishes top scorer, and Golden Boot winner, again

Khadija Shaw – who else? – has been in prolific, record-breaking form, and ends the season with the Barclays Golden Boot
Who else was it going to be?!
Going into the last day of the BWSL 2025-26 season ahead of the pack, the Jamaican’s brace against West Ham United made sure of her third consecutive Golden Boot award.
Her two goals made it a total of 21 goals in 22 BWSL matches… the same number of goals that won it for her in 2023-24.
As well as winning the top goalscorer award, Shaw has now also broken a string of records along the way. She’s the first player in BWSL history to score 20 or more goals in three separate seasons, and she’s now surpassed 100 goal contributions – thanks to her first against West Ham – in the English top flight, one of only six players to do so. She achieved the feat in just 93 matches. Only Vivienne Miedema has done it in less games. In December 2025, she also became the first City player to score 100 goals in the club’s professional era.
The Jamaican’s first strike of the 2025-26 campaign was a diving header that came in City’s first home fixture, against Brighton & Hove Albion.
She netted a memorable four goals against Aston Villa in December, with the first of her quartet making it 100 in City colours.
She went on to score against ten of City’s eleven BWSL opponents, including the rest of the top four (Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United).
