Sheffield United Women have made their first move of the January transfer window as versatile young midfielder Simone Sherwood arrives on loan from Barclays Women's Super League side Leicester City.

Speaking about her move to S2 for the second half of the season, Sherwood said, "I'm really excited to try and help the team but also develop my game as well this season.

"It's been good. All the girls have been really welcoming and it's nice to have a few familiar faces to help on the first day."
