Five Differentials for Matchweek 6

With only the Barclays Women's Super League in action this weekend, we've compiled a list of the top five differentials who are owned by under 3% of managers for you to punt on.

Delphine Cascarino (London City Lionesses)

  • Price: £5.5m | Ownership: 2%
  • Key Stats: 3 attacking involvements, 3 big chances created, 1 goal conceded

After a lot of talk in the summer about London City Lionesses and how they would perform after another spending spree, it's safe to say they've looked impressive.

Delphine Cascarino has been immense for London City when on the pitch, and that has been the frustrating part for managers: she's often been on the sidelines.

However, after being left out of the France squad to allow her time to recover from a recurring injury, the break should see her fit and back in contention for a start.

It would be a major boost for London City if she could get back to full fitness because in just 160 minutes of action this season, she's recorded one goal, two assists and only conceded once as well.

So, while it was a summer of more big-name signings by Michele Kang, maybe it's one of their players from last season who could help them kick on up the BWSL table.

Lexi Potter (Chelsea)

  • Price: £5.0m | Ownership: 1%
  • Key Stats: 20 points, 1 goal, 3 bonus points.

Lexi Potter told Sonia Bompastor she wanted regular game time this season, and that demand seems to have paid off, as she's featured in four of the first five BWSL matches.

The young English midfielder has also been in the spotlight while away with the Lionesses; such is her talent and the hype around her in the media, very real.

She's proving to be a key cog in Bompastor's Chelsea side, and even showed some attacking prowess against Birmingham City, scoring her first goal and finishing on 12 points.

She was benched against West Ham, but it didn't take long for Bompastor to look for the England international at half time in a competitive London derby.

Potter will always look to get stuck into a tackle; her 40 defensive actions show that, but with a goal to her name and riding the high of being away with the Lionesses, this may be the time to punt on her.

Julia Zigiotti Olme (Manchester United)

  • Price: £6.5m | Ownership: 1%
  • Key Stats: 2 goals, 402 minutes, never been subbed before the 60th minute

When it comes to differentials in fantasy football, managers look to players with low ownership, usually a low floor but an incredibly high ceiling. These are often referred to as punts, because they have such a risk of not paying off.

However, now you can get a Manchester United midfielder with a taste for goals and is a favourite under new manager Eva Olid, and that is Julia Zigiotti Olme.

The Swede may not have wanted the international break to arrive given the form she was showing, having netted twice in her last three games. These came in a home game against Liverpool and an away battle with Arsenal.

So, she is more than capable of making a mark on the game home or away, and now she gets the leakiest defence in the BWSL, Charlton Athletic.

Also, the fact that she has always got over the 60-minute mark, where players get an extra point, and often plays the full game, allows her the maximum opportunity to score manager's points.

Cornelia Kapocs (Liverpool)

  • Price: £6m | Ownership: 1%
  • Key Stats: 26 points, 5.2 points per game, 44 matchweek transfers out

Two goals and one assist through the opening five games is impressive from Cornelai Kapocs, especially when managers consider the strength of Liverpool's schedule to open the campaign.

When the Reds have played teams from outside of last season's top five (Everton and Charlton), she's found the back of the net, and this weekend she gets to face the second-worst defence in the BWSL, Aston Villa.

The Midlands outfit haven't kept a clean sheet since March 15th, and sit second from bottom, a perfect fixture on paper to incorporate Kapocs into your lineup.

Alejandra Bernabé (Liverpool)

  • Price: £4.5m | Ownership: 2%
  • Key Stats: 2 clean sheets, 50 defensive actions, 1.25 chances created per 90 mins

Yes, we are doubling down on the Liverpool team this weekend, and it's because the Aston Villa fixture is too good to turn down, especially as long as a permanent manager isn't appointed, there will be a cloud of uncertainty over Villa Park

Two clean sheets from five games isn't too impressive for a defender, but with the fixtures now getting better and Gareth Taylor having the international break to re-emphasise his tactical philosophy, we could be set to see an ever better Liverpool team.

We've already mentioned the lack of clean sheets for the Reds, but you're buying much more than defensive points with Alejandra Bernabé. The Spaniard is currently creating 1.25 chances per game, and for context, Alexia Putellas is averaging 1.48.

Villa are yet to score more than one goal in a BWSL game this season, and have no clean sheets across all competitions, stats that will have a full back like Bernabé itching to get onto the pitch.
