Alyssa Thompson has always been a player who has caught the attention of many, none more so than eight-time Barclays Women's Super League champions Chelsea, who broke their transfer record on Deadline Day of the 2025 summer transfer window to sign the highly rated American prospect from Angel City FC for a club record fee of just under £1 million.
