West Ham United is delighted to announce that France international Estelle Cascarino has returned to the Club and penned a three-year contract after signing permanently from Serie A side Juventus.
The 29-year-old defender spent the second half of the 2025/26 campaign on loan at the Hammers and made 12 appearances in all competitions to help Rita Guarino’s team secure a strong finish in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
From those 12 games, the ever-present Cascarino helped the Irons keep four clean sheets, including a 1-0 win away at Liverpool in which the No28 put in a Player of the Match performance.
With the regular gametime that she received in Claret and Blue, Cascarino earned a return to the France squad for the first time in 15 months in February 2026, and insisted the decision to reunite with Guarino and her squad was a no-brainer.
“I feel really happy to be back at West Ham United,” she said.
“I made my decision quickly that I wanted to be back here permanently. From the beginning, this Club has felt like home, and I enjoyed every minute of my time here last season.
“I’m looking forward to being here now for pre-season, to working with Rita [Guarino] and her staff and this group of players.”
Cascarino made 49 appearances in two-and-a-half seasons for Juventus, whom she helped win the league title and Coppa Italia trophy and Supercoppa Italiana in 2023/24.
Her move to Le Bianconere followed a spell at Manchester United, while she also enjoyed successful stints in her native France with OL Lyonnes, Paris FC, Bordeaux and Paris Saint-Germain.
She made her mark instantly in east London last term, keeping a clean sheet on her debut in a 3-0 success over Newcastle United in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup, while she was also part of memorable victories over Leicester City, Brighton & Hove Albion, Liverpool and Aston Villa in the WSL.
Head Coach Guarino is delighted to welcome Cascarino back to the east Londoners, as she said:
“We’re really pleased that Estelle has extended her stay with us.
“It was very important that we retained a defender of Estelle’s quality. Her impact when she arrived in January was crucial in us achieving our aim of securing our status as a WSL club.
“Her experience and ability will be crucial as we look to progress this season, and I’m looking forward to working with her again.”
Everyone at West Ham United would like to welcome Estelle back to the Club and wish her every success as she continues her journey in Claret and Blue.
