Aston Villa v Crystal Palace
2pm, Villa Park
Eyes will be on the home dugout following Tuesday's news that Natalia Arroyo has parted ways with Villa. A 4-0 defeat at Tottenham and a winless start leaving them 13th prompted the change, and Brian Sorensen takes interim charge, returning to a BWSL touchline for the first time since leaving Everton.
Palace are in the West Midlands for the second week running after an entertaining 3-3 draw at Birmingham City. They came from behind twice and looked to have won it through Lexi Lloyd-Smith before conceding a late equaliser, leaving Jo Potter's side with two draws from four.
Both defences tell a similar story. Each has conceded ten, the joint-most in the division alongside Birmingham and Charlton. Palace were solid in their opening two games and have shipped all ten since. Villa have conceded at least four in two of their four.
The sides have met rarely, with Palace's only previous BWSL games against Villa coming in their one full top-flight campaign. They traded wins that season.
Brighton & Hove Albion v Charlton Athletic
2pm, American Express Stadium
Two sides still looking for a first win of the season, with Brighton 11th and Charlton bottom on zero points.
Arturo Ruiz will fancy his side's chances of ending that run. Brighton matched London City Lionesses closely for possession last time out but failed to score despite ten shots and an xG of 1.77.
Charlton were competitive for long spells against leaders Manchester City and showed a genuine threat on the counter, which may well shape their approach again here.
Kiko Seike is the player Brighton turn to for goals, with one so far after finishing as their top scorer last season. Olivia Garcia has looked lively off the bench and ranks second in the league for both shots on target and successful dribbles per 90, at 3.2 each.
For Charlton, Jodie Hutton has been the attacking focal point. She scored the club's only goal of the season and has created eight chances, making her their main creative outlet as well as their most likely scorer.
This is the first league meeting between the clubs. Their previous encounters came in cup competitions, the most recent a 4-0 Brighton win just over a year ago.
Everton v Birmingham City
2pm, Goodison Park
Everton want a response after defeat in the Merseyside derby. Birmingham are still chasing a first win since promotion.
Sixth-placed Everton have won twice and lost twice, both wins by 1-0. Scott Phelan will want more going forward: his side have scored just twice in the league all season, and both were own goals.
Birmingham have been competitive without converting it into results, two draws and two defeats leaving them 12th. Océane Hurtré is the exception. She is one of three players tied as the league's top scorer on four, has created ten chances and contributed 24 defensive actions, a return bettering 95% of players in her position.
Ruby Mace has been Everton's standout, with 34 defensive contributions including 13 tackles and 12 interceptions.
These clubs last met in the BWSL in April 2022, a goalless draw, though Everton had won the earlier fixture that season 3-1.
Tottenham Hotspur v London City Lionesses
2pm, BetWright Stadium
Second against fourth, and two of the most attack-minded sides in the division.
Tottenham's start has been the story of the season so far: unbeaten, the league's top scorers on 15 goals, and dropping points only in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool in Gameweek 2. Victoria Pelova scored twice in the 4-0 win over Villa, with Caitlin Dijkstra also on the scoresheet.
Signe Gaupset has been at the heart of everything Spurs do going forward, and arrives off a record-setting afternoon, becoming the youngest player in league history to create eight open-play chances in a single game.
London City will be chasing a third straight win after beating Brighton. Alexia Putellas opened her BWSL account last weekend and will want more, while Lucía Corrales is likely to be key as an attacking full-back.
Last season's meetings were tight: a win each in the league, plus a Women's FA Cup tie settled on penalties.
West Ham United v Chelsea
2pm, Victoria Road Stadium
Ninth against third, in a fixture Chelsea have long dominated. In 16 BWSL meetings, Chelsea have won 14 and drawn two. West Ham have never beaten them in the league, though the most recent draw came as recently as March 2025.
West Ham have changed manager since, and it was against Chelsea that Rita Guarino took charge for the first time in January. That ended in a 5-0 defeat, but there have been more encouraging signs since. One win and three defeats is a modest return this season, yet the Hammers have looked dangerous in transition through Viviane Asseyi, whose three goals already beat last season's tally of two.
Chelsea put their opening-weekend draw with Villa behind them by winning three in a row, making this a fourth successive season unbeaten after four games. Another record works in their favour: 46 games unbeaten when leading at any stage, the longest such run in BWSL history.
Lexi Potter has been their breakout performer, forming a solid partnership with Keira Walsh and earning a first senior England call-up earlier this week.
Manchester City v Arsenal
4.30pm, Etihad Stadium
The weekend's marquee fixture closes it out.
Andrée Jeglertz's side have been perfect, four wins from four, the most recent an Alex Greenwood free-kick to see off Charlton. How they handle this one after a demanding Champions League night against Real Madrid is the question.
Arsenal face the same test, and arrive needing a result. Their problems have been in front of goal rather than behind it, and they already sit seven points off City.
Home advantage counts here. City's record under Jeglertz at home in the league is formidable, and Khadija Shaw has started the season as strongly as ever, with seven goals at the Etihad to her name.
Recent meetings have tended to turn late. Iman Beney's stoppage-time goal won it for City at the Joie Stadium last season, while a late Stina Blackstenius brace took Arsenal to victory in 2024.
