Versatile midfielder joins Manchester United

Manchester United is pleased to confirm that Rebeca Bernal has agreed to join the club, subject to registration. The versatile midfielder has signed a contract until June 2029.

The 29-year-old, who has 78 senior international caps, is the captain of the Mexico national team. She has scored nine goals for her country, including the winner in the 2023 Pan American Games final.

Bernal’s arrival adds further experience to United’s squad, with the midfielder having played 223 games for CF Monterrey before joining Washington Spirit, where she represented the NWSL side 50 times and helped them to win the Challenge Cup.
