Aston Villa Women are delighted to announce the signing of Norwegian international Justine Kielland, subject to visa approval.
The midfielder joins Villa from German side VfL Wolfsburg, bringing experience from both domestic and European football, as well as the international stage with Norway.
Kielland began her senior career with Stabæk, making 80 league appearances before joining Brann in 2023. During her time there, she helped the Norwegian side reach the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-finals, featuring in all 12 matches and scoring four goals throughout the campaign. She made the move to Wolfsburg in 2024 and has spent the last two seasons competing in the Frauen-Bundesliga and UEFA Women’s Champions League.
A defensive midfielder who is comfortable in possession, Kielland arrives in B6 having established herself as a regular for the Norwegian national team after progressing through the country’s youth ranks. At just 23, she already boasts experience at both international level and in European competition.
Speaking after completing her move to Villa, Kielland said:
“It’s an amazing feeling. I’m really excited now to finally be here. Putting on the jersey for the first time feels really good, I’m excited to get started.
“The WSL is a really acknowledged league and I’m looking forward to the competitiveness. You can see every team is getting better and the league is taking steps every year, so I’m really excited to test myself here as well.”
