Player selection trends heading into Sunday's games.

With Matchweek 9 approaching, Fantasy managers have some important decisions to make ahead of the next deadline.

Ipswich Town forward Princess Ademiluyi is making a strong case for investmet after an impressive start to live in the BWSL2, while Kaitlyn Torpey continues to offer value for Fantasy users.

There are also tough decisions to make over players who have struggled to deliver returns recently.

Princess Ademiluyi: £4.5m - 2% ownership

When looking at trends, it's impossible to ignore Princess Ademiluyi who has continued to impress in the Barclays Women's Super league 2. The forward, who has been drafted in by 200 managers ahead of Matchweek 9, has ammassed 43 points in her last three matches!

With four goals in three league starts, the England youth international is currently one of the highest performing players in the second division and at £4.5, she appears to be a true steal.

Ipswich currently sit second in the standings after an impressive win over Sunderland last time out, a game in which Ademiluyi bagged two goals.

At just £4.5m, she is one of the more affordable forwards available and could allow managers to free up budget for premium options elsewhere.

With Bristol City up next, a side that Ipswich failed to beat last season, it might seem like a risk to keep the young forward in your side, however I think it's a risk worth taking.

Kaitlyn Torpey: £4m - 14% ownership

Continuining with BWL2, Kaitlyn Torpey remains one of the standout budget options, offering managers an opportunity to strengthen their defence without spending heavily.

The Newcastle United defender has 45 points to her name - the highest-scoring defender in the league - so it is no surprise to see 367 managers bringing her into their sides.

Having already registered a goal and an assist this campaign, Torpey's value isn't solely based on her defensive returns but rather multiple opportunities for returns.

Despite dropping their first points of the season in Matchweek 8, Newcastle still reign superior in the standings, two points clear of Ipswich in second. And with just three goals conceded, the Magpies have the best defensive record in the league - something which only increases Torpey's attractiveness.

Kadidiatou Diani: £7m - 8% ownership

Kadidiatou Diani is quietly becoming one of London City Lionesses' most important attacking players, and her Fantasy returns are beginning to reflect her influence.

The France international has three goals and three assists in six BWSL starts this campaign, earning her 52 Fantasy points.

Her contribution goes beyond goals and assiss, with her pace and dribbling making her a constant threat in the final third. Dian's everpresent threat comes from her ability to take on defenders and stretch opposing backlines.

With freedom to roam under Eder Maestre, she creates a multitude of opportunities for herself and her teammates.

Despite just one goal in her last three league games, her two goals and an assist against Tottenham prove her ability to produce attacking returns against stronger opposition.

At £7m, she is a more expensive option than some cheaper alternatives, but her attacking output and freedom to attack make a strong case for her inclusion in your squads.

Lisa Baum: £6.5m - 9% ownership

Now looking at players who are giving Fantasy managers a headache moving into Matchweek 9.

Lisa Baum has offered Arsenal an exciting attacking outlet this season, especially since Beth Mead's departure, but Fantasy users may need to consider whether her recent returns justify keeping her in their squads.

She scored Arsenal's first BWSL goal of the season, but has since contributed just one other goal - in their defeat to Manchester City.

The German winger has shown that she can make an impact in the final third, but is it time to look elsewhere for some consistency?

Over 300 managers have decided to make a switch and I think Arsenal's lack of consistency is the root cause of this decision.

With managers needing to make the most of their limited transfers, there may be better options available in midfield who consistently return points.

Alexia Putellas: £8.5m - 56% ownership

Another midfielder which is causing headaches for Fantasy managers appears to be the third-most selected player in the game - Alexia Putellas.

56% of users own Putellas, with the midfielder having amassed 47 points during her first season outside of Spain. Therefore, it's surprising to see over 200 managers transfer her out of their sides ahead of Matchweek 9.

The London City Lionesses captain made history last month by winning her third Ballon d'Or, and her ability to adapt to the English league shows her strengths as a player.

Since arriving in England, Putellas has registered three goals and one assist in seven BWSL starts. While those are respectable numbers, managers investing £8.5m into one of the game's most expensive players, they will naturally expect more.

However, I think Putellas is a clear stick. She has the technical quality and growing connections with her new teammates to change the game in an instant.
