Aston Villa Women are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Emily Ramsey.
The 25-year-old joins Villa following her spell with Everton and brings experience from across the Women’s Super League and the England pathway.
Ramsey gained senior experience with Liverpool and a number of loan spells across the WSL and Championship before joining Everton in 2022.
At international level, Ramsey has represented England throughout the youth age groups and has also been involved with the senior Lionesses set-up, having earned her first senior call-up in 2023.
Speaking after completing her move to Villa, Ramsey said: “I’m really excited to be here and looking forward to getting started.
“It felt like the right time for a new challenge. I’m excited to play at Villa Park on the right side of the team, get to know the players and see what we can achieve together this season.”
Marisa Ewers, Director of Women’s Football, said: “Emily is a goalkeeper with strong experience in the WSL and a real desire to continue developing her game.
“She has arrived at Villa eager to challenge herself and contribute to the group. We’re pleased to welcome her to the club.”
