Alessia Russo (Arsenal)
- Price: £11.5m | Total points: 19
- Next three fixtures: Birmingham (H), Spurs (A), Aston Villa (H)
If someone had told you that England and Arsenal's starting striker would be on fewer than 20 points after five games, there's a good chance not many would have believed it, but here we are.
It's been a tough start to the season for Arsenal and Russo, who's scored just once and isn't even the top scorer on her team, but there is hope for fantasy football owners.
After a positive international break that saw her score three times in two games, the 27-year-old is set to hit the ground running, starting with an enticing game at The Emirates this Saturday.
She still boasts an XG of 2.27 in the Barclays Women's Super League, and two of her next three fixtures are at home to sides in the bottom three, so all managers who own Russo, keep the faith because the points are coming.
Kathleen McGovern (Newcastle United)
- Price: £6.5m | Total points: 17
- Next three fixtures: Nottingham Forest (A), Burnley (H), Sunderland (A)
A winning strike on just her second appearance for Newcastle had McGovern looking to be a solid option up top for a free-flowing side; however, a benching against Durham threw a spanner in the works.
The Scotland international appeared to have struck up a good connection with Martha Thomas and Beth Lumsden, but had to settle for a cameo appearance last time out, which managers should not fear.
Much like Russo, McGovern is coming off a very impressive international stint, bagging a goal and an assist as Scotland eased past Czechia. And with United starting Leg 2 with back-to-back Subway League Cup games, this could afford rotation next weekend in the BWSL2.
She's already got three goal involvements in just four league starts is impressive on paper, but managers will be hoping she gets good minutes in the best game against Burnley at St. James' Park to reward their faith.
Maria Farrugia (Bristol City)
- Price: £6m | Total points: 16
- Next three fixtures: Wolves (H), Ipswich (A), Sheffield United (A)
A tough start to the season for Bristol City, and Farrugia now sees them on a three-game unbeaten run and starting to look up the table with a favourable fixture run coming up.
The Maltese international has just one assist to her name but is still a consistent name on the teamsheet each weekend, so she is continuing to have opportunities to perform.
The Robins have only scored more than one goal a game twice this season, showing how tough it's been in the final third, but that's not due to Farrugia's lack of trying. The left winger sits in the top 73rd percentile across the BWSL2 for big chances created per 90 minutes.
She now gets to face two newly-promoted teams in the next two games, as well as a Sheffield United side who have conceded the second most goals in the league.
Melvine Malard (Chelsea)
- Price: £8m | Total points: 6
- Next three fixtures: Spurs (H), Crystal Palace (A), Charlton (A)
Everyone is aware of the talent Malard holds in her boots, but it's been an indifferent start to life in London. The French forward didn't start her first BWSL game for Chelsea until 27th September, but by then she'd already scored three goals across all competitions.
So while the stars haven't been there for the French forward, the returns certainly have been. Across the BWSL and UWCL, it's four goals in three starts, and that was followed up with a goal and an assist with France.
Malard managed 23 goals in 93 appearances for a Man United side who were nowhere near the level of quality as Chelsea, so her form should translate over nicely and even go up a level under Sonia Bompastor.
The French forward who can play out wide or through the middle gets Crystal Palace and Charlton in two of her next three fixtures. She's been performing with limited minutes this season, so once the starts are there, she could be a steal at £8m.
Yui Hasegawa (Manchester City)
- Price: £7m | Total points: 18
- Next three fixtures: Brighton (H), Man United (H), London City Lionesses (A)
Out of the current Man City squad, Hasegawa was the club's highest-scoring midfielder, even ahead of Lauren Hemp, but with just 19 points to her name, there has been a tinge of disappointment from fantasy owners.
Annoyingly for owners, City's best game on paper this season was against Charlton, the one match Hasegawa was benched for, and it showed as they laboured to a 1-0 win on the road.
Since then, the Japanese midfielder has not missed a game for BWSL champions, and we can't see that changing heading into Leg 2 given her influence on the team.
The fixtures are not amazing for Hasegawa, but this City attack can perform against any team, and a Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium is the sort of stage she could thrive on.
At the moment, she is averaging 0.46 big chances created per 90 minutes, a stat which puts her in the 89th percentile among players in her position. She also has the small factor of feeding Bunny Shaw, who is by far and away the most deadly striker in the BWSL.
