Permanent deal for Dee who returns to Durham

Durham Women are delighted to announce the permanent return of Dee Bradley.

After joining the Blues on loan in January, the versatile defensive midfielder has penned a contract to keep her in the North East.

The midfielder initially joined Durham in 2021 after studying in America at Old Dominion University.

Bradley went on to make 96 appearances during her first spell at the club, scoring a number of crucial goals, including a header in our 2-2 draw with Manchester United in 2021.

Impressing Carla Ward, Bradley received her first international call up to the Republic of Ireland squad last summer.

And after re-joining the club on loan in the winter transfer window, Bradley made six appearances - scoring the winning goal against Sheffield United as the Blues secured survival.

Speaking after securing her permanent return to the club, Bradley said: "It feels great.

"Durham is a home to me now, so it just feels natural coming back.

"It's the people, first and foremost. I've made friends for life here. The area feels like a bit of Ireland and this is a place I can see myself settling down in.

"People go on about the fanbase here, but it's such a special group and they make us feel so welcome.

"It's nice to be back and see them every Sunday."
