The 24-year-old joins the Magpies after leaving Barclays Women’s Super League side Charlton Athletic at the end of the season.
At the Addicks, Katie made 53 appearances, scoring 13 goals, and was part of the side that achieved promotion to the BWSL via the play-off in May.
After representing both Manchester City and Manchester United at youth level, she went on to play for UCF Knights in the US collegiate system before playing for returning to play for Blackburn Rovers in 2024.
Katie said: “It’s a huge club and a big opportunity. I didn’t really need convincing that this is where I wanted to be.
The ambition of the club is huge and it’s a project that I want to be part of. I want to develop and help the team, and this felt like the right place.”
Manager, Tanya Oxtoby, said: “Katie joins us off the back of a promotion winning season with Charlton, where she was one of their standout performers.
“She brings strong technical qualities to the midfield, and she likes to play on the front foot which will compliment our play.”
