**Bristol City
Lotta Lindstrom**
The Robins will be hoping Finnish forward Lotta Lindstrom brings the kind of form that helped Birmingham City win promotion to the BWSL last season, the 21 year old joining the Blues on loan from London City Lionesses and scoring four goals in 12 appearances. Before her loan move, Lindstrom made eight appearances for LCL in the first half of the season, scoring in a victory against Ipswich Town in the Subway Women’s League Cup. She’s scored one goal from five caps at international level.
**Burnley
Maddi Wilde**
“I’m buzzing,” was Maddi Wilde’s response after signing on the dotted line for Burnley from London City Lionesses earlier this summer. The defender has twice won the BWSL2, with Bristol City and London City Lionesses, and the Clarets will hope that she can help fire Burnley to promotion in 2025-26. Still only 22, Wilde won the Scottish Cup during her spell at Celtic.
Durham
Jade Pennock
Durham’s first foray into the transfer market was the addition of experienced forward Jade Pinnock, from Sporting JAX in the USL Super League. Pennock has scored over 50 goals in the BWSL2 – as well as goals in the top flight – across spells with Doncaster Belles, Sheffield United and Birmingham City. In 2022-23, after her goals helped Birmingham win the league title, she was named the BWSL2 Player of the Season.
**Ipswich Town
**Georgia Timms
Timms and her former Hearts teammates went one further than the club’s men’s team last season by lifting the Scottish Premier League trophy, and the Jambos’ success owed much to Timms’ firepower. The 28-year-old forward scored 19 goals and added six assists, a run of form in front of goal that earned her the Player of the Year and Player’s Player of the Year awards at the end of the campaign. If she can hit anywhere near those numbers in Norfolk, that’ll do nicely.
**Leicester City
**Leah Eddie
Central defender Leah Eddie travels south of the border after eight years in Scotland, and joins Leicester City from Rangers. A two-time Player of the Year winner with Hibs, Eddie moved to the Gers in 2024 and won her first major honours – the Sky Sports Cup and Scottish Cup. Last season, she played 23 times as Rangers finished second in the title race behind Hearts.
Newcastle United
Hildur Antonsdottir
Newcastle have added experienced midfielder Hildur Antonsdottir to their ranks, the 30 year old boasting 36 caps to her name. The Icelandic international leaves Madrid CFF after making 57 appearances in the last two seasons.
“She is tactically intelligent and has an outstanding ability in possession,” explains Magpies boss Tanya Oxtoby. “ She has shown her quality in some of Europe’s top leagues.” As well as Liga F, Antonsdottir has also played in Germany, and was a multi-honour winner in Iceland.
**Nottingham Forest
**Cerys Brown
Nottingham Forest’s transfer activity so far involves the permanent signing of defender – and Forest fan – Cerys Brown, who spent four years with Chelsea before joining London City Lionesses on a permanent deal in February 2025, and joining Forest on loan last season. Brown brings experience of winning the BWSL2 title after securing promotion with LCL last year. Now 20, Brown represents England at U23 level.
Sheffield United
Gracie Pearce
Sheffield United have added a player with two promotions from BWSL2 under her belt, with Gracie Pearse joining from Charlton Athletic fresh from the Addicks’ penalty shootout win against Leicester City. Pearse’s play-off joy followed her promotion with Bristol City in 2023, and the Blades will hope she can make it a hat-trick after penning a two-year deal. Pearse developed her game at Arsenal before travelling across London with, first, Crystal Palace, then Tottenham Hotspur.
**Southampton
**Milly Mott & Rachel Brown
The Saints are yet to welcome any new arrivals, but instead they’ve been busy securing the long-term futures of homegrown star Milly Mott and defender Rachel Brown.
Mott, a Saints academy graduate, has already amassed 134 appearances aged just 22 and extends her stay at the club by another year. Also staying for another 12 months is Brown, who scored her first goal for the club towards the end of the 2025-26 season.
Sunderland
Fran Stenson
BWSL2 stoppers don’t come much better than former Southampton keeper Fran Stenson, the Saints’ Player’s Player of the Year award winner swapping south coast for north east in pursuit of a promotion to the top flight. The 25 year old had two impressive seasons for the Saints but boasts experience with Birmingham City, Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion, among others. “The ambition of the club is massive,” she said after her arrival, “I knew where I wanted to be.”
Watford
Saoirse Noonan
Hot on the heels of their three first signings of the summer - Ellie Noble, Hannah Greenwood and Zara Bailey - BWSL2 newcomers Watford have since added Republic of Ireland international Saoirse Noonan to their attacking armoury.
The 27 year old joins from Celtic after scoring a remarkable 57 goals in 74 appearances. Her potent run of form in front of goal included three hat-tricks, while she signed off with an assist in the Scottish Cup final as Celtic saw off rivals Rangers at Hampden Park. Noonan has also played for Durham, Cork City and Shelbourne.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Melissa Lawley
A childhood Wolves fan hailing from Kidderminster, Melissa Lawley is a real statement signing who brings a wealth of experience to the Black Country having made more than 300 appearances at the highest level. The 32 year old made her top-flight debut for Bristol City in 2012 and established herself during a three-year spell at Birmingham City. She joined Manchester City en route to Liverpool, with whom she spent five seasons and won the BWSL2 title in 2022 – helping the Reds return to the top table after an absence of two years.
