Forest Fantasy assets offer huge potential

The overview

Last season: 7th (BWSL2)

This season expectations: Mid-table, looking to climb

Forest are a well-organised, competitive side who quietly go about their business, and there are a few names here worth having on your Fantasy radar. A mid-table finish last season was a decent return, and Tom Mallinson will fancy pushing a little higher this time with a squad that's kept their key players and added quality across the pitch.

The one who leads the line, and the scoring charts, is Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah. She was Forest's standout last season, a forward with a real eye for goal who netted seven times, and she's the first name to note when you're browsing their options.

The summer additions should help her cause, with Abbie Lafayette being a really strong addition from Sheffield United. The 24-year-old can play as a full back or more centrally, she shows some excellent defensive positioning, averaging 5.68 interceptions and 9.84 recoveries per 90 in 2025/26.

There's also Deanne Rose who averaged 5.23 dribbles per 90 last season, plus the likes of Cerys Brown and Lois Shooter adding fresh legs after joining from London City and Chelsea. Forest may not grab headlines, but they're a tidy, well-drilled outfit with enough about them to reward managers who look beyond the obvious clubs.

Set-piece takers

Corners: Chloe Mustaki is the interesting one here, a defender who takes the majority of Forest's corners, which brings a handy dose of assist potential from the back. Rachel Rowe also chips in with a share from midfield.

Penalties: One to watch, we could potentially see Boye-Hlorkah step up this season.

Direct free kicks: Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah is the most likely to shoot from range.

Player costs

Forest are a side where a couple of well-chosen picks could quietly serve you well.

Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah (£7.5m) is a really good option as she gives you a proven scorer at this level while Deanne Rose (£5.0m) is one who could rack up those involvement points. Lois Shooter is another to consider, she’s signed on loan from Chelsea to get some first team football having contributed six goals and four assists in the Academy League last season.

The clever shout, though, might be Chloe Mustaki (£5.0m). A defender who takes the corners offers something a bit different, clean-sheet potential plus the assist upside of a set-piece taker, which is nice value from the back if Forest can maintain a solid defence over the course of the season.
