Player selection trends heading into Sunday's games.

Another gameweek brings another round of Fantasy decisions, with some players making compelling arguments to be drafted into your squad and others leaving managers with some tough questions.

From budget-friendly midfielders delivering well above their price tag to established names struggling to justify their cost, knowing when to trust the numbers and when to react is key to a successful Fantasy season.

With Sunday's batch of BWSL and BWSL2 fixtures approaching, here are four players who have been at the forefront of many minds.

Ruby Mace: £5.5m - 15% ownership

Some Fantasy users prefer to stick with big names from established points to deliver big returns, with clubs like Everton often ignored from the outset.

However the 23-year-old is making a strong argument for her inclusion. And it seems that Fantasy users have been hearing this argument with 1,818 users drafting her into their side ahead of this weekend - the most in the game.

The defender has awarded users 41 points this campaign making her the third highest-scoring defender in the game and the second-highest in the BWSL.

With two impressive goals against Birmingham City last time out, she showed managers she can contribute much more than just defensive returns.

Maces' appeal extends beyond her attacking returns, with the Toffees having conceded just four goals this season, putting them among the divison's more reliable defensive outfits.

At just £5.5m, Mace offers a unique balance between affordability and attacking potential that can be difficult to find elsewhere.

Danielle van de Donk: £4.5m - 26% ownership

It's easy to overlook budget options when searching for Fantasy points, with users regularly favouring high-profile names rather than certain attacking returns.

Sometimes, the best Fantasy pick is an experienced player who finally has the fitness and consistency to show what she can do.

After an injury-disrupted debut campaign at London City Lionesses, the midfielder is making up for lost time.

The Dutch international managed just one goal in six BWSL appearances last season, but has already surpassed that tally comfortably, registering three goals and two assists in her first five league games.

Now fully fit, the 35-year-old is repaying head coach Eder Maestre's faith in her. Her experience, movement and understanding of the game have made her a key part of a London City attack that has scored 13 goals in five league matches - the third-highest in the division.

Her growing understanding with Alexia Putellas is another reason for optimism and priced at just £4.5m, it's no surprise to see 1,410 managers bringing her in.

This is a strong stick. Her returns, affordable price and growing connection with Putellas make her an appealing option, particularly while London City's attack is firing. If she can maintain her fitness, there's every reason to believe her early-season form can continue.

Kirsty Hanson: £8m - 15% ownership

From a budget option to the second-most expensive midfielder in the game, Fantasy managers appear to have a dilemma when it comes to Kirsty Hanson.

The Tottenham midfielder is amonst the top five most transferred out players ahead of Matchweek 6, with managers debating whether Hanson's current returns justify such a significant chunk of budget.

She has scored twice this season, but has failed to find the back of the net since Spurs' opening game against West Ham United. With Chelsea up next, there's even more factors at play against a side who have conceded just one goal this season.

For managers who invested in Hanson expecting regular attacking returns, her recent output presents a dilemma. Her ability to score and create chances means she could quickly punish those who sell her, but Fantasy football is keen to reward managers who recognice the right time to sell.

The Scotland international bagged 12 goals in the 2025/26 BWSL campaign, so there's plenty of evidence to support her inclusion. The question is whether managers should continue to wait or spend that £8 elsewhere.

Chiamaka Nnadozie: £5m - 8% ownership

The final player who is giving managers a headache heading into the weekend, is Brighton shotstopper Chiamaka Nnadozie.

Brighton’s defensive record makes Nnadozie a riskier Fantasy option than she was last season, particularly with Manchester City up next.

The Nigeria international enjoyed an impressive debut campaign in England, keeping six clean sheets in 19 BWSL appearances and recording the division’s best save percentage among goalkeepers who played at least 10 matches.

However, she is yet to keep a clean sheet in five league games this season, leaving managers waiting for the returns that helped make her such an appealing option last term.

The timing of their next fixture is far from ideal, too. Manchester City are the most clinical side this campaign and scored four times against Arsenal in their previous league outing.

Additionally, City have scored against Brighton in every BWSL meeting since November 2023, suggesting goals will come on Sunday.

I think it would be wise for managers to twist. Nnadozie’s shot-stopping ability means she can still deliver points even when Brighton concede, but with no clean sheets so far this season and City next, managers may be better served by switching to a goalkeeper with a more favourable fixture.
